A relaxing day...

Photo: Atticmag

These 2 ladies(my darling cats Peach & Precious) knows how to relax!
I´ve followed in their footsteps today, having a day off.
What a luxury!

The sun has been shining outside. It has been such a beautiful October day.
In the afternoon the sun reaches in through my windows. It´s such a pleasure to feel the warmth from the sunrays(I´m always freezing this time of year, no matter how much clothes I put on).

There has been no stress here today. There are milloins things that needs to be done, but sometimes we all just need to put all of that away and be in the now and do whatever comes to mind that feels good and inspiring.
I like to put on some relaxing music, light some scented candles, walk around in the house, find a book or a magazine I´ve been longing for to read and enjoy a nice cup of tea along with it.

I also like to sit down for a moment and have a look at the leafs falling from the trees a windy day or watch the birds eat from the bird table in the garden.
It´s all very relaxing!

If I only had one, I would also a day like this, put myself in a warm, relaxing bath.
I really miss not having one. ..

What would you prefer to do when you have a day all by your self?

A year from now...

Today I´ll share some pictures of my own place.
Our home is truly our passion and we spend a lot(sometimes all) of our free time on it.
Here is a pic of me working my ... off.

Last summer we renovated the facade and the roof on the house. That ment a lot of work, but we both felt it was worth it and feel happy with the results!
We also added a porch by one of the entrances. This year we have spent a lot of time there!

Last year we also renovated our bathroom, if you could call it that. It is a separate toilet room and a seperate shower room straight across eachother in the hallway.
When you live in an old house like ours, built in 1936 the living area is very limited and you really have to compromise!

Sorry, this is my only picture of the toilet before. Here my common- law spouse is working on getting the toilet out.

Both toilet and shower was really old and needed a make over!!!

And here is After:

Hope you´ll enjoy!

Kind regards

Mission accomplished...

Finally, the flooring is done in the kitchen area. This weekend we have also helped my parents painting their house, all white and beautiful. It turned out really great!
After days like this I would love to take a long warm bath, lay down, put on some great music and relax for a moment. Unfortunately we don´t have space for one in our bathroom, only shower. The plan is to get one when the future bathroom in the basement is ready(a very, very, very long time from now). But you mustn´t stop dreaming and believing, right?

Do you out there have bathtubs in your homes and do you appriciate it?
