Perempuan bernama Guru Chang mengambil dalam trio penyewa muda ke rumah kos nya. Para penyewa termasuk penyanyi rock dan seorang mahasiswa yang telah lari dari rumah. Gunung Sang Buddha adalah tentang sekelompok orang muda yang berbagi rumah, semua berusaha untuk menemukan cinta dalam kehidupan mereka putus asa dan kacau.

English Sinopsis:

In Chengdu, China, a retirued female opera singer named Master Chang takes in a trio of young tenants into her boarding home. The tenants include a rock singer and a college student who has run away from home. Buddha Mountain is about a group of young people who share a house, all trying to find love in their desperate and chaotic lives.
