My New Kitchen...

So, here´s a little a sneak peek of what is going on in my newly renovated kitchen...

I´ve bought a bunch of black frames, photos and fabric that will dress it up a little bit. Some of them will be put on the walls, others will be standing on the floor...

My auction finds- The old English stage lighting has set the theme in this area and I just feel this corner of my kitchen was made for- The Marcel Breuer 'Wassily chair'.
Both are without a doubt some of my absolute favourite items here at home!

There´s more to come later on this week!

Happy Friday Everyone!

A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That...

This down below image will be a teaser of what is going on in my newly renovated kitchen. I know, I know I´ve promised you guys some photos. I wanted to wait until I got it completely done though.
I´m off to IKEA this weekend (whilest spouse and dad are working on the house, I must be the luckiest girl!) to finally get my mission done one time for all!

For those of you whom haven´t heard already, I can tell you that lovely Mon from Splendid Willow has her amazing home featured in the latest issue of Rue Magazine! Yes, Rue Magazine!!!
I´m sooo happy for her and I just know you will all join me on that!

Mon says she only lives with things that she absolutely loves, things that are warm, inviting and interesting-Oh, I love that!
Click here and browse yourself on to page 158! I can guarantee you´ll be swept away!

Mon´s home was acutally an important part of my Style Searching(where we all fell in love with her Blue masterpiece!)and it´s all thanks to her I finally got to the routes of what my personal style was all about! Mon´s advice was to always, always stay true to myself!

I will never forget those words, they gave me a deep down aha-moment(as Oprah would describe it) and suddenly it was all so obvious for me. My style was totally eclectic, but until then I had a hard time to admit that! You see, I thought I would be a great disappointment to someone close.
Silly, but true!

Happy weekend Friends!!!
xoxo

Happy New Week...

I totally failed on cathing your interest on my Boom- post a few days ago...I hope this will inspire you a bit more:)!
Le Corbusier glass table meets Eames chairs...

Also adore the black and white photo framed wall, the light entering through the glass-doors to the left as well as the symmertry in this room(Oh, I´m a hopeless symmetrical person, which sometimes unfortunately also can be awfully boring...).
:)

Happy new week Friends
&
Thank You for stopping by!

Visions...

First,I would like to welcome my newest followers. I´m so glad and excited you´ve found your way over here!
I also want you to know that I´m so grateful for having each and every one of you and my hopes are to inspire more than ever this year:)!

I have decided 2011 is going to be a good year!
As some of you already have read in my previous post I have a lot of goals and visions for myself but also for my home.
After some soul- and Style searching during 2010 I finally found out what my personal style was all about. I had been struggling for years, not knowing how to really decorate my own home. I felt confused and couldn´t make the final finishes in one single room. In the end they all felt like shells with no personal touches. I was too scared to complete them, not knowing what would work and what I really wanted the room to look and feel like.

Since then doors have opened for me and suddenly I feel so confident decorating my own place.
One of my visions this year is to finally go for the black and white photos. I want them standing on the floors and put on my walls, on shelves and everywhere else!

I have a past working as a photographers assistant and black and white photos has a very special place in my heart ever since, yet I have very few of them in my own home.
The whole decorating thing has been put on hold I guess, and final touches like art and decoartive accents have not been paid attention to
!

Thank god I´ve been able to use my passion for home decor and interior design helping close friends and family, especially my mom whom really have put some great trust in me, helping her with a lot of different projects during the past years.
Thanks mom!
Portraits of above Photographer John French will most likely be seen on my walls in the year of 2011. I´m also thinking of using some 'Words of wisdom' among the framed black and white photos.

What do you think of this?
I would love to hear your opinions!

Ps.
I promise to check in on all of you later on this week.
In the meantime-
I´m sending all my love to all of you!

Photos...

I really love when private photos is used as a part of the interior design. It makes the home very personal and alive and brings joy to the people living there.
I would love to have a shelf just like the one above, with lots of different black and white photos of friends, family, housepets and so on.

Hope you all have had a great start to this new week!

And thank you for your comments, I so appriciate it!!!
