Happy New Week...

I totally failed on cathing your interest on my Boom- post a few days ago...I hope this will inspire you a bit more:)!
Le Corbusier glass table meets Eames chairs...

Also adore the black and white photo framed wall, the light entering through the glass-doors to the left as well as the symmertry in this room(Oh, I´m a hopeless symmetrical person, which sometimes unfortunately also can be awfully boring...).
:)

Happy new week Friends

Rushing Into Things...

First I would like to Thank all of you whom took time and effort to give me some really good advices on my dining rooms planning! It has opened some new doors for me but also closed some other ones!
I´m so letting go of the industrial dining room table. It was not a good idea at all, I totally get that now and felt kind of relieved when I read your comments about it.

Two of you suggested the Y-chair for my dining room and I felt immediately hooked on that idea. The above image is one of my absolute favourite ones EVER. It has been hanging around for quite some time now and I feel spelled every time I have a look at it.

So when you tipped me about this Y-chair designed by Wegner, this above room of course came to mind.

I then did some research on the cost on this amazing designer piece and it was simply too much for my budget! I found an online store that had copies of the Y-chair though, so I´m still thinking of this as one of several options for my dining room.

This above and below dining room inspiration, is another of my favourite ones. I found it at the Finnish Blog Vaaleaa Uneelma. I´m pretty sure these photos are wievs from the Bloggers own home and I just love the coziness!

I´ve found chairs looking like these + sheepskins at IKEA and I´ve also found an affordable antique table on 'Blocket' that can be lengthened to 90 cm x 190 cm.
In other words, this could be option...

I also have a third suggestion. This down below dining table from ILVA has a rustic and industrial feeling to it. The wood on top is recycled wood and I have had a closer look at this and I must say it was love at first sight.
It´s a bit large though(95 cm x 220 cm) which means I would have to put it next to the window= no seating at both ends.

I´m thinking 'upholstered' chairs to this one or a mix of 2 different types.

Today I also found this down below chair at the online store Sweetpea & Willow(OMG, Take some time to go for a visit, you´ll find some really exquisite furniture at their online store and they ship worldwide!).
Love this one too and feel quite certain any kind of table would work!

This time I have decided not to rush into anything when it comes to the dining room area- something I´m very good at! Mistakes have been done in the past because of this!
I will let myself think about it for some time, but still would love to hear what you think!

Where would your vote go? No. 1, 2, 3, or 4?

Thank you guys, I hope I´m not boring you out! If so, please let me know, I would totally understand and promise to not torture you no more with posts about my dining room:)!

Dining Room Plans...

Hi you guys!
I´m back and I need some help from you, All of you:)!

So, I have parts of my living room put togheter. The sofa is bought and I did make a decision to keep the striped rug. The vintage bamboo chairs, my few years back 'Boomerang ellipse coffee table with glass top' from Conran will stay and we´ll probably get this down below TV- bench as well (or should I just keep the one we have
!?).

Since my living room and dining room area goes next to each other with a large vault in between I have slowly started to make plans for the dining room area as well.
I´ve been looking at all these dining room tables and dining room inspiration intensively the past weeks but still feel totally confused and lost in all of this.
Then I thought, what could be a better idea than to ask you guys for some advice!?

All I know at this point is that my black cabinet will be a part of the dining room furnishing. I also have this stone wall and a white Barcelona chair standing in this area. That´s it!
What kind of dining room table and chairs would you recommend that´ll match the other side of the room, the living room area as well?
I love the idea of having 2 larger chairs, like these wingback chairs down below on the sides.

Mon from Splendid Willow did a really inspiring posting on this theme, click here to go for a visit! I was immediately hooked on this idea!
My dining room is quite small though, so I´m not sure this will work in my home. I guess it´ll depend on the size of the table...
Today we have a dining room table that holds 1oo cm x 200 cm and that is maximum for this space. Unfortunately this piece of furniture does not match my new look so...I really need to find a new one!

This above look I liked a lot. I don´t think I would be able to find chairs like that though...
I ´ve also been looking at some industrial ones, like this down below.
I´m lucky to have a spouse whom is very talented when it comes to making things out of steel material. So I could have a table like this done, but I have to feel certain this is the look I´m going for cause it would have to stay for a really looong time:)!

And what kind of chairs to this one? I would not have a clue!

Will you help me out please and give me some great advice!?
I would appreciate it more than you could imagine and I feel so grateful for having this great opportunity to ask such talanted people as yourself!
It is a true privilige and I just know it´ll come a great solution out of this!

Please do not feel limited by these tables I have put out as alternatives, I would love to have some new advices as well!

Also, which one of the TV- benches would you choose- the one we have (image above), or the black one in the beginning of this post?

Thank you!
!!

Fall feelings...

I´m really falling into a fall feeling over here in Sweden.
And it´s now high time to put away the summer- clothes and to bring out some warmer ones.
To be honest I have not done this yet. It has been such crazy weeks and I have not gotten myself to do it. It is not that I dont want it, oh no, I love fall but sometimes I just seem to put things on hold.
I really don´t like this part of me and I feel that it has sneaken up on me during our kitchen renovation(that by the way has been going on forever now). It´s like the chaos spreads itself and bring out hidden parts of me that I was not very aware of before. It´s kind of scary:)...

Everywhere I look I find these warming and cozy sheep- and reindeer skins. I simply love them and wish I could invest in some this fall. Unfortunately the economy does not allow me to do that right now, but I keep on dreaming and add all my wants to my wishlist.
Some day I´ll get them all:)!

It´s getting darker here, the rain is pouring outside and I´m off having todays last cup of coffe at my favourite spot in the house.
But before I go I would like to wish you all amazing readers a happy, cozy weekend!
Bye for now!
